Wongungarra Alpine Ski Club

Wongungarra Alpine Ski Club is seeking applications from individuals or couples to manage the Lodge at Mt Hotham for the 2017 season (June-September).

Purpose of Position

This role is responsible for the cleaning of the lodge, customer enquiries and bookings via telephone, management of the lodge change-over times and evening meal times and ensuring the lodge is secured each night. 

The Caretaker – Manager role encompasses but is not limited to the following duties and responsibilities. 

To assume membership duties in the absence of a member.

Cleaning & Maintenance
Cleaning of toilets and bathrooms daily and other wet areas and common areas three times per week or as required.  
Maintenance of club property in good order and condition.

Guests & Bookings
Provision of advice, assistance and direction to Club guests and other groups as necessary.
Supervision of guests and kitchen – dining facilities during evening mealtimes.
Oversight of the safety of lodge occupants;
Management of guests during changeover times - primarily Friday evening and Sunday afternoon - ensuring that bedrooms are left clean and tidy and incoming guests get the correct bedroom allocation.
Management of telephone and direct booking enquiries, in conjunction with the booking officer and his assistant.
Security of the Club and Club property including securing lodge in the evening ensuring all doors are locked and lights and heaters are in “night mode.”
