The Perfect Place

The General is Mt Hotham’s premier wedding venue. Located at the top of Mt Hotham, surrounded by spectacular and breathtaking views, it is the perfect place for an alpine wedding.

The General recognises that this is ‘your day’ and our dedicated team will enjoy working with you through the planning stages to make sure every detail is just right.

Detailed or minimalist, a large social gathering or intimate family affair, we can bring your vision to life. “We do” at The General.

Ceremony Locations  

From cattleman’s huts to the summit of Mt Hotham, there are plenty of options for your ceremony location. All feature the absolute best of the high country – untouched wilderness, snow gums and expansive views. You can view all the available locations with imagery here.

Reception

The General function room has its own balcony and boasts a spectacular sunset view looking out over both the Dargo Plains, and the Bogong High Plains. The room has its own balcony and can seat 120 comfortably, or 200 in a cocktail setting.
