Dinner Plain Snow Park

Operating Hours for September and October


The Dinner Plain lift and Snow Tubing will operate on the first week of school holidays and close on Sunday 1 October. The lift will operate 9am-5pm while Snow Tubing will operate between 12pm-3pm and is subject to weather conditions.

Unique Alpine Village


Dinner Plain is a unique alpine village ideal for a family holiday, located just 15 minutes’ drive south-east of Hotham. Lift Pass Prices and Packages


Hotham / Falls Creek all mountain lift pass is valid for skiing at Dinner Plain. You can however, save money by purchasing a Dinner Plain only lift pass if you only intend to ski at Dinner Plain.

Free tube park session when you purchase any Dinner Plain Snowpark Lift or Lesson Pass for the same day.

Dinner Plain Ski and Ride School - Group Lessons


Dinner Plain's Snow Park is a nice and easy slope ideal for adults and children learning to ski or snowboard. A ski lesson with our friendly instructors will develop your skills and boost your confidence on snow. You'll practice sliding, stopping, turning and working toward parallel skiing. Children 6 years or older and adults may be combined into the same group ski lesson. For dedicated kids lessons and kids under age 6 check out the Mighty Mites and Kids Club programs at Big D at Hotham.

  • Group ski lesson times: 10am - 12.30pm (2.5 hours)
  • Every Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays and during School Holidays 1st - 17th July* Monday prices apply
  • Meet at the base of the Poma lift at the Snow Park
  • We strongly advise that you pre-purchase your lift and lesson
  • Lift & Lesson package is available online or once you arrive at the resort

Please note: Group snowboard lessons are not available at Dinner Plain Snow Park.

Private Lessons


Private beginner ski and snowboard lessons are available at Dinner Plain where you'll get more time with your instructor and progress faster. Bookings are essential. Equipment Hire


Hire all your ski and snowboard equipment from rental stores in Dinner Plain. These include Hotham Sports at The Alpine Life (open until 17 September) as well as Hoys Ski Centre. If you hire your child's equipment through any of the Hotham Sports at The Alpine LIfe your child will receive a FREE helmet for the duration of the hire. For more information just ask on arrival at one of these Hotham Sports outlets.

Getting to Dinner Plain Snow Park


Dinner Plain is an easy drive 10km from Mt Hotham as you continue on the Great Alpine Raod toward Omeo and Bairnsdale. From Bairnsdale, you will arrive at Dinner Plain before you reach Mt Hotham.

Once you arrive at Dinner Plain, turn left onto Big Muster Drive at the Horse Shoe Circle roundabout. Follow Big Muster Drive until you can turn left at Scrubbers End when the Snow Park will be on your left. Please be aware Big Muster Drive is a one way road during the winter season and you will need to continue around Big Muster Drive to exit Dinner Plain.

Additional Dinner Plain Activities and Facilities


Snow Tubing (weekends only in September)
Free tube park session when you purchase any Dinner Plain Snowpark Lift or Lesson Pass. Sliding on snow is the most fun you can have with a tube! Tube Park sessions are valid for the same day as your lift pass. Launch yourself down one of two tubing lanes and the tow will pull you back up to the top again. Tubing is easy and safe for kids from 4 years old and 100cms tall to ride by themselves. Tubing is open on weekends from 1.00pm   

Snow Play
There is now a new snow-play area in Dinner Plain at Scrubbers End near the Cobungra Platter. Car parking is available adjacent to the park. The snow play area is open daily during the winter season.

Night Skiing (Saturday's only in September)
Ski and snowboard under the stars every Saturday night from 6pm to 7.30pm.

Tobogganing
There is a designated area next to the Cobungra Platter Lift for snow play and tobogganing. Tobogganing can be dangerous and like all alpine activities involves inherent risks. For your safety please obey all signage when tobogganing. The toboggan slope may be closed due to insufficient snow depth or inclement weather. Toboggans are available for hire at Hotham Sports The Alpine Life Dinner Plain, located on Big Muster Drive in Dinner Plain.

Cross Country Skiing
