Getting around the village of Hotham and to Dinner Plain is easy with our bus transport options.
As part of your resort entry fee, Mt Hotham Resort Management provides a free Village bus service to help you move easily from pillow to powder, bar to bar or home after a long day on the slopes. To catch a ride is simple - just wait at a bus stop sign located around the village precinct (refer to below map).
The bus service operates during the official snow season from 7am seven days a week.
The village bus service concluded at 11.59pm 17 September 2023, and will run a reduced service only Monday 18 September 2023 between 8am and 5pm.
*Please note, bus services may finish earlier in the shoulder season.
The Dinner Plain-Hotham Bus service concluded at 7.50am Monday 18 September, for the 2023 Snow Season.
Mt Hotham Resort Management is pleased to announce the upgrade and expansion of the bus service connecting Mt Hotham with Dinner Plain for the winter season.
The Hotham – Dinner Plain bus service will provide an increase in service frequency and longer operating hours, catering to the needs of visitors who want more time to enjoy the mountain, even after the runs close. Moreover, it will provide a safe and convenient means for Dinner Plain-based staff to commute between the resort and the Dinner Plain village, 7 days a week during the official snow season.
To catch a ride is simple - purchase your ticket online and have your barcode ready to present to the driver for scanning as you board. Jump on the bus from any of the convenient bus stops listed below:

Please note, travel from Mt Hotham to Dinner Plain is free on the Dinner Plain bus service. Tickets are only required when travelling in the direction from Dinner Plain to Mt Hotham.
