It's Snowing!

The snow started to fall in the early hours of Monday morning and blizzard conditions have continued throughout the day. Temperatures dropped to a low of –6.3 degrees and the snowguns were firing all through the night to give the storm a helping hand. It's awesome to see deep winter back here at Hotham.

20cm of Fresh Snow + More Terrain Open!

The snow started to fall at around 11am yesterday and kept going into the early hours of this morning! We’ve woken to 20cm of fresh snow, and it sure looks good on us, see for yourself!

Village Quad Chair Opening Saturday 29 June

We are excited to announce that Village Quad Chair will spin from Saturday 29 June. There’s still a little more magic to be woven by our grooming team, but they’re confident they’ll be able to get it ready just in time to kick off school holidays.

Hotham to Host Freeride World Tour Events

With our natural half-pipes, gullies, bowls and cliffs, hosting a Freeride World Tour event feels like the perfect fit, and we couldn't be more excited to announce that Hotham will be playing host to the first Freeride World Tour events held in Australia. Including Qualifier and Junior events for both ski and snowboard, the events will be held on 3 August.

Hotham is the place to be!

The sun was shining, and the groomers were perfection over the weekend. With the Summit Quad and Road Runner opening for the first time this season, there was an awesome energy around the resort. We loved seeing all the smiling faces and hearing everyone talk about how impressed they were with the conditions!

Road Runner Opening Saturday

After another solid night of snowmaking, we’re excited to announce that the Road Runner chairlift will be opening this Saturday alongside the Summit Quad! This will open up access to some of Australia’s best progressive terrain that starts with the gentle green slope of the Summit, over the bridge into the blue Sun Run!

Summit Quad Opening Saturday!

After a great run of snowmaking the past few nights we’re excited to announce that the Summit Quad will be opening this Saturday! Big shout out to our legendary grooming and snowmaking teams, AKA the heroes of the night, who have worked tirelessly to prepare the slope for our enjoyment.

MOUNTAIN OPS UPDATE: SUMMIT TRAINER & MINI TERRAIN PARK OPENING

Summit Trainer will spin for first timers and we’re opening a mini terrain park (accessible via Summit Trainer) to keep advanced riders entertained. Plus, Big D is expected to open Sunday 16 June!

ONE FINAL CHANCE TO BUY YOUR EPIC AUSTRALIA PASS

Deadline Extended: with recent fresh snowfall and cold temperatures ideal for snowmaking, the excitement for this ski and ride season is officially here! With these wintery conditions, we’re happy to share that we are extending the deadline to buy an Epic Australia Pass to 19 June. This means you’ll have one extra week to secure your Pass for season-long access to all three of our resorts.

Introducing Bunderool Beginner Carpet

Hotham’s first beginner-only terrain, serviced by a conveyor-belt carpet new to Hotham, will greet beginner skiers and snowboarders for the 2024 snow season, re-imagining the first-time beginner experience at Hotham. “This project is part of an ongoing plan to improve the experience of beginners on the mountain, alongside improving the safety of all skiers and snowboarders.” said Tina Burford, Hotham’s VP + GM.

Charity Chairlift Auction raises $156.8K

Hotham’s charity auction has raised $156,812 for local charities as guests went all out to own a piece of Hotham history and take home chairs from the Victorian ski resorts first-ever chairlift - The Playground Chair, a two-seater that opened in 1969 and was the main access lift back to the village until 1993 when the Village Chair opened.
