Hotham Unveils Exciting Calendar of Events for 2024 Snow Season

Posted 8 June 2024

  • Old favourites and exciting new events announced

  • Highlights include the all-new Sweet Tricks Presented by Arc’teryx and Pond Skim

Hotham, Australia’s premier powder capital, is thrilled to announce a line-up of events for the much-anticipated 2024 winter season, kicking off on the Kings Birthday Long Weekend on Saturday 8 June. From the all-new women’s progression programs to action-packed competitions and family-friendly events, there’s something for everyone amidst Australia’s highest alpine village.

New for 2024, Hotham welcomes Sweet Tricks Presented by Arc’teryx. Complimenting the popular Chicks Who Shred, this weekly women’s progression session is tailor-made for intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders. It will offer invaluable tips and tricks to take abilities to the next level. With weekly giveaways and an enticing end-of-season major prize, it’s an event not to be missed.

For riders eager to showcase their prowess on the slopes, or spectators who prefer to watch, Hotham will have an array of adrenaline pumping competitions throughout the season. There's the Pirate Life Open Rail Jam and Oakley Slopestyle, where creativity and style will reign supreme. Or for those looking to make a splash, the all-new Hotham Pond Skim will be full of thrills and spills.

Families are also in for a treat as Hotham brings back their dazzling firework displays. Not only will you see them Opening Weekend, but also every Wednesday in June, and every Saturday in August.

For Spring, Hotham shows no signs of slowing down. September bursts with a vibrant array of events. From Pride Week and the Victorian Backcountry Festival to everyone’s favourite 70s and 80s throwback, Retro Day.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-time visitor, 2024 promises to be the best time to experience the enchanting allure of a Hotham winter season. To experience it all, the Epic Australia Pass offers the best value.
