This winter let Hoys help with all your Chain Fitting needs. Hoys Snow Chain Fitting Service operates whenever chains are required to be fitted on the Great Alpine Road between Harrietville and Mt Hotham. (The mobile service does not operate if no snow on the road & chains are not required on that day)

When experiencing the Great Alpine Rd to Mt Hotham during the snow season, diamond pattern chains must be carried before commencing travel from Harrietville or Omeo.
Hoys are snow chain experts and have been operating the mobile chain service for over 40 years, helping guests get to their holiday destination safely with the least amount of hassle.
Hoys Snow Chain Fitting Service operates wherever chains are required to be fitted between Harrietville and Mt Hotham. This mobile service is located in the designated roadside chain fitting bays and Hoys staff will fit and remove Hoys hired chains for free or fit your own chains for a fee. There is no roadside chain hire available.

HOYS HARRIETVILLE

When you hire chains from Hoys Harrietville, staff rigorously test your hired chains to make sure they fit your tyres and are suitable to your individual car. They then fit your Hoys hired chains free of charge at the Hoys mobile chainfitting depot. This can save you time and heartache ensuring your holiday starts on the right footing! If you have your own chains – they charge $25 to fit them for you.

If you have chains on your vehicle and they are not required when departing the mountain, the boys in the Hoys shops at Hotham & Dinner Plain will remove them for free.
Both rental and retail chains are available at Hoys Harrietville & Omeo.

HOYS OMEO

Rent Hoys quality chains at 150 Day Ave (= Main St / Great Alpine Road) Omeo. This new shop is located opposite Omeo's only supermarket (Foodworks) at the top of the hill, on your right if travelling from Gippsland.

Not all vehicles can fit chains so contact Hoys for advice if you are unsure.
