BANKED SLALOM

This classic event at Hotham is held as a friendly competition to ride out the banked slalom track down Heavenly Valley's Gun Barrel run.

Come and join one of Hotham's oldest clubs, Hotham Boardriders, in racing down our purpose-built banked slalom course on Gun Barrel. The course will have berms and banks to keep everyone entertained.

Hotham’s Gun Barrel has had a gravitational pull on snowboarders since the late 80’s with its incredible natural inbound terrain.

The Hotham Boardriders club was formed in 1988 as a community voice for snowboarders on the mountain and the annual Gun Barrel Banked Slalom was born.

The first event ran in the early 90’s as a collaborative effort between Hotham resort and Hotham Boardriders with the support of the Australian snowboard industry. As a result, the event has become an annual pilgrimage for the snowboarding community to unite and compete in its purest form on epic natural terrain. Professionals to weekend warriors come together in this fun event to test their skills in the famed Gun Barrel, the spiritual home of snowboarding at Hotham.

Limited entry numbers until sold out.

Entry price includes event tee-shirt.

Googles and helmet compulsory (no sunglasses).

Get involved for the fun - race yourself and race your mates. Take the title or just have fun, either way its what snowboarding is all about.' The course will take place at Gun Barrel in Heavenly Valley and will have berms and banks to keep everyone entertained.
