We can’t wait to welcome you back to Hotham this winter! Lessons for 2025 will be available online soon. In the meantime, check out our updated lesson details including times and locations for the 2025 snow season.

Our new adventurer beginner bundle is perfect for anyone aged 15+ and brand new to the snow. It includes an afternoon lift ticket and a 2-hour afternoon beginner group lesson. Optional equipment and jacket and pants hire can be bundled together at a great price at the time of booking for a cost-effective introduction to skiing or snowboarding.

Our Beginner Bundle is available in the afternoon only, however if you are looking for a morning lesson, our Adult Group Lessons cater to all abilities, from first timers through to advanced skiers and snowboarders.

Perfect for anyone new to the snow

Our new adventurer beginner bundle is perfect for guests aged 15+ who have never skied or snowboarded before.

With our beginner carpet at the bottom of the Summit run, beginner skiers and snowboarders will be able to start their snow journey in a safe, protected environment supported by our world-class instructors to gain confidence on the snow.

As part of the deal, you get:

1-afternoon lift ticket
2-hour afternoon group lesson commencing at 1:30pm with our experienced ski and snowboard instructors. Lessons are reduced to 1 hour if the group participants are two or less due to the intimate and private nature.
Optional rental equipment add-on: ski or snowboard set, helmet, jacket and pants

Where lessons have sold out, this package will no longer be available for the specific date.

If you are looking for a morning lesson, our Adult Group Lessons cater to all abilities, from first timers through to advanced skiers and snowboarders.

Lesson time

1:30pm

Lessons run for 2 hours for groups of three and above and run for 1 hour for groups of two or less.

Meeting place

All Beginner Lesson participants meet outside the middle entrance of Hotham Central 10 minutes before your lesson.

Arrive dressed and ready to hit the slopes.

Wear

Ski boots or snowboard boots on your feet, ready to go
Helmet – not compulsory but highly recommended
Goggles and/or sunglasses to protect your child’s eyes from glare
Waterproof snow pants and jacket
Warm layers under outerwear
Ski socks (not cotton)
Waterproof mittens or gloves
Neck warmer/ tube or Balaclava
Sunscreen SPF 15 or higher

Bring

Skis or snowboard
Ski poles
A valid Mountain Access Card, with Mighty Mites and a valid lift ticket loaded onto it – this should be placed in your pocket on your left-hand side.
