Official Opening Weekend

10 June - 12 June, 2023

Wax those skis and detangle the snow chains - 2023 Snow Season officially commences at Hotham the weekend of June 10! While we're not in a position to spin any lifts this weekend, there is snow on the ground, plenty of great events on and restaurants, cafes, bars and retail stores open.

So don't be shy, grab your snow buddies and get excited for the season ahead!

Friday 9 June

Our venues start opening so if you're arriving early, head to Jack Frost, Zirky's, The General, The Bird, Chill Bar & Cafe, Frankie, Hotham Hotel, First Run Cafe, Hot Doggies and Miss Mary's for refreshments.

Saturday 10 June

10am - 2pm: Free Hot Chocolate and Jam Donuts by Frankie at the Big D, plus s'mores by the fire.

From 2pm: Pirate Life Apres Party at The Bird- Pirate Life giveaways, DJ's and cheap tins.

4pm-6pm: Playground Chair charity auction at The Bird own a piece of Hotham history as the chairs from the Playground double chair, Hotham's first chair lift, go under the auctioneer's hammer.

7:00pm: Silent Disco family friendly party at Frankie, upstairs at the Big D.

8.30pm till late: Live music at The General

Sunday 11 June

12pm - 2pm: Bring the kids to Davenport Drive (next to The General) for free hot chocolate and marshmallow toasting while parents enjoy a free gluhwein, brought to you by Mt Hotham Resort Management.

From 2pm: Pirate Life Apres Party at The Bird - Pirate Life giveaways, DJ's and cheap tins.

6:15pm: Fireworks extravaganza! Head to Hotham Central for fireworks from the Basin run - best viewing from the Village Chair Unload or Hotham Hotel Deck.

8.30pm till late: Dance the night away with DJ Eddy at The General
