We officially shut down lift operations for the 2024 snow season today, Wednesday 4 September. While the season had its challenges, there were some great moments. Enjoy this lookback on the season that was.

What a weekend! The freeride mecca of Australia lived up to its reputation, with Hotham hosting Australia’s first ever Freeride World Tour events over the weekend.

The annual Mt Hotham Volunteer Ski Patrol 'Big Gig' fundraiser is on again.
Get along to The General on Saturday 10 August (or bid online!) and help raise funds to assist Ski Patrol fund vital equipment replacements, in purchasing additional first aid equipment, and to assist with ongoing training costs to help support our volunteer patrollers continue their incredible live-saving efforts on the mountain.

With our natural half-pipes, gullies, bowls and cliffs, hosting a Freeride World Tour event feels like the perfect fit, and we couldn't be more excited to announce that Hotham will be playing host to the first Freeride World Tour events held in Australia. Including Qualifier and Junior events for both ski and snowboard, the events will be held on 3 August.

After another solid night of snowmaking, we're excited to announce that the Road Runner chairlift will be opening this Saturday alongside the Summit Quad! This will open up access to some of Australia's best progressive terrain and our first blue runs for the season!

Summit Trainer will spin for first timers and we're opening a mini terrain park (accessible via Summit Trainer) to keep advanced riders entertained. Plus, Big D is expected to open Sunday 16 June!

Mother Nature has joined the party, and we couldn't be more excited! The weather rolled in this morning and the snow started to fall at around 7am and kept at it for most of the day. It's awesome to see winter return to the resort!

Mt Hotham is pleased to announce updates to its transport services for 'the upcoming 2024 snow season. In collaboration with 4Site, our 'dedicated transport provider, we have implemented several key 'improvements aimed at improving safety, reliability, and overall visitor' experience.

A cold snap has brought the winter white back to Hotham for the first time this year, with around 4cm of snow blanketing the resort.
