Possum Flat is behind the public shelter on the southern side of The Great Alpine Road opposite Howard’s Hut.
One of Victoria’s icon walks, the 37km Falls-Hotham Alpine Crossing (FHAC) is a 3 day/2-night walk through the Alpine National Park, linking the resort villages of Falls Creek and Mt Hotham.
The Cobungra Ditch Walking Track follows the course of an abandoned water race, a ruin from the gold mining era of the district.
The Razorback Walking Track beings at Diamantina Hut, 2.5 km on the Harrietville side of the Hotham Village. It crosses the high ridge linking Mt Hotham and Mt Feathertop.

The track begins at the end of Davenport drive and a short walk takes you to the summit of Little Mt Higginbotham which offers great views of the Mt Hotham villages and surrounding area.
This trail is a short walk that travels past the Lindsay Salmon Memorial and reaches the summit where spectacular views can be found. To return either head back down the same way or travel along Higgi Drive which will bring you back to the start.
This trail is for experienced bushwalkers. Starting in Baw Baw National this trail travels through the remote alpine setting of Victoria’s high country to Namagi National Park in the ACT.
