Sunday Stunner!
It looks like a cracker of a day on the way! The sky is clear, and there is just a puff of a breeze from the west. The current temp is a balmy 4.6 degrees, heading for a top of 6 degrees, but thanks to the humidity plummeting in the early hours, the snowguns fired up and are still pumping it out as I write.
The snow has set up overnight and will start the day off very firm before the sunny aspects soften as the day warms. South facing slopes may stay slick all day. The groomed runs will certainly be the best option this morning.
Due to the shallow cover, the Village Loop and Heavenly Valley have been upgraded to advanced skiers and riders only, and there may be a delayed opening of Heavenly Valley if it's too slick.
Road Runner will spin from 7:30am for WRX First Tracks and Ski for Jane is on at 8.30am this morning. Top of the Basin and wear something red to honour our wonderful friend, Jane McNab. Plus, don't miss your last chance to dine at Viva Alpina before it closes tonight. Score $15 jugs all night and a pasta dish + a house wine/beer for $25 at Viva Alpina - open 4-9pm, downstairs in Hotham Central.
Slap on the screen and follow the sun for fun turns all day.
Cheers BIll
