27cm of Fresh Snow!
Once the snow kicked in yesterday it snowed on and off throughout the day ramping up into the evening and it's delivered an impressive 27cm of fresh snow so far!
The current temp is -2.8 and it won't get much warmer. Right now, it's snowing steadily and there's a moderate to strong wind out of the NW so again it'll be a day to monitor lift status as some of the upper and outer lifts may be affected.
The snow has fallen with a lot of wind and there is a slight crust in places however there should be some smooth turns to be found in the more sheltered areas. To quote my boss and mentor it could be morning to 'let your mates go first' and see how they get on. If it's good, you'll know to go first on the next run.
With all of the fresh snow accompanied by strong winds the Ops team will be busy assessing and digging out doing everything possible to get HV or the Village Chair spinning from 7:30am for WRX First Tracks.
Also, our Patrol team will be out conducting Avi control work in certain areas this morning so be sure to observe all signage and closures particularly the Extreme Area. With more snow forecast over the coming days, it looks like we're in for plenty of fun times ahead.
Rug up for the windchill and get out there.
Cheers, Burner.
