For Aspiring, Established and Elite Ski Racing Athletes

The Mt Hotham Racing Squad (MHRS – teamHOTHAM) was founded in 1972 as a not for profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of alpine ski racing, for aspiring, established and elite ski racing athletes, and their families. Our club is managed by an elected volunteer committee with programs designed, managed and implemented by highly qualified, professional coaches.

Our guiding principle is “To promote, encourage and foster competitive snow sports”, and over the years MHRS has developed a reputation as one of the leading race training organisations in Australia. With a member base of approximately 200, our athletes range from local school children to business professionals and from five years old to over 70. Many members have interstate home-bases, and we’re very proud to be joined each year by a contingent of Northern Hemisphere athletes for their Southern Winter training.

We offer a variety of programs, to respond to a variety of competitive interests and aspirations, from introductory camps for interschool participants to full time performance based programs for athletes progressing their skills and performance goals and recreational race programs for adults.

Our focus is to create tomorrows Alpine Ski Racing (including ski cross) champions today. Not all our members want to compete at an elite level but we will help everyone to become better skiers.
