The final part of your journey is finding a place to park your car - we have Guest Services staff stationed along the Great Alpine road and in the car parks throughout the resort during peak hours to direct you to the nearest available park and help you find your way. After hours, follow the resort signage and look for the green parking signs for overnight car parks.

Day Parking

Visting for just the day? Please follow the blue parking signs. Day car parking is available from 7am - 11pm.

After 11pm, day car parks need to be clear for overnight snow clearing operations.

Follow these steps:

  1. Park in a blue parking area
  2. Hop on the free village bus to explore our beautiful mountain village

Do I need a resort entry permit for day parking?

Yes, all vehicles stopping at Mt. Hotham during the declared snow season are required to purchase a resort entry permit for each day the vehicle is stopped in the resort

Can I park overnight in the day parking areas?

No, day parking areas must be cleared by 11pm for overnight snow clearing. Overnight parking is available in designated areas marked with green parking signs.

What are the hours for day parking?

Day parking is available from 7am to 11pm. After 11pm, day car parks need to be clear for overnight snow clearing operations

Is there a shuttle service from the day parking areas?

Yes, there are complimentary village transport service buses that can take you from the day parking areas to various points around the village.

Where should I park to go tobogganing?

We recommend parking at Wire Plain Car Park (P9) for direct access to the tobogganing slope. If you are unable to park at Wire Plain Car Park, you can park at any Day Parking area and hop on the free shuttle bus to Wire Plain (Stop 12). 

 

Day Parking Locations:

For the best village parking right in the heart of the action, head to Corral Car Park (P1). Conveniently located opposite the top of the Village Chair, this spot fills up fast, so be sure to arrive early! 

Located along the Great Alpine Road, CSIR Car Park (P2), Blue Ribbon Car Park (P3), and Davenport Car Park (P4) all offer convenient bus stops nearby, making it easy to navigate the village effortlessly. 

For Tobogganing, Snow Play, Cross Country Skiing, and Snowshoeing, park at Wire Plain Car Park (P9) for direct access to our Tobogganing slope and Shared Trails Network.

To drop in directly to the exhiliarting steeps of Heavenly Valley, park in the Alpine Gateway multi-level carpark for direct access to the slopes (for experienced skiiers and snowboarders only). 

Overnight Parking

Lucky enough to be staying overnight or for a few nights on the mountain? Park your vehicle in one of our overnight parking areas for the duration of your stay, and use our free village transport service busses to explore the village! 

Follow these steps:

  1. Unload your gear in a designated unloading area near your accomodation (15 minute limit)
  2. Park in a green parking area (P5 - P8, P10)
  3. Hop on the free village bus back to your accomodation

Yes, you can park your vehicle for the duration of your stay in the designated overnight parking areas

Oversnow Luggage Transfers 

Oversnow luggage transfers are available to get your belongings to your accommodation before dropping your vehicle in overnight parking.

Snow Tow Mt Hotham makes it easy providing luggage transfers from 4 different locations within the Hotham Village; Corral Carpark near the Medical Centre, Bus Stop 3 between the Arlberg and Blue Ribbon chair, and Bus Stops 7 and 8 for those staying at Davenport Village. You'll need to pre-book at least 24 hours before you require the service.
